Faithful People

Psalm 145:10

All your works praise you, Lord;
your faithful people extol you.

 

This phrase tells me:

.. faithful people – give praise to the Lord

.. faithful people – glorify the Lord

.. faithful people – exalt the Lord

.. faithful people – celebrate the Lord

 

Why faithful?

.. they recognize the greatness of God over time

.. they know what it’s like to persevere

.. they know what loyalty means

.. they know what integrity is

 

FAITHFULNESS (dictionary.com)

• strict or thorough in the performance of duty: a faithful worker.
• true to one's word, promises, vows, etc.
• steady in allegiance or affection; loyal; constant: faithful friends.
• reliable, trusted, or believed.
• adhering or true to fact, a standard, or an original; accurate: a faithful account; a faithful copy.

 

Therefore – knowing that the FAITHFUL goes through a similar (yet small in quantity) events as to what it is like to be faithful, they understand that if man can be faithful, God is even more.  Hence, they praise, glorify, exalt and celebrate the Lord.

 

// How faithful are you to the Lord?  Do you recognize the faithfulness of God and His work, and with that, do you identify with it even at a slight?  Continue to be faithful.  By faithfulness, it “causes” us to praise God and know Him more.  The faithful will PRAISE, GLORIFY, EXALT, AND CELEBRATE THE LORD because He Himself is faithful. 

 

The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.

The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does.

 

// LORD, You are so so faithful.  Thank you that in my little act of faithfulness to you, I am able to identify and “prove” your faithfulness – to me, to Your people, to Your Word, to Your promises that has been laid out for us.  You are truly wonderful.  I pray that You help me to remain faithful even in the small things you have given to me.  Help me to always be reminded to live a life of faithfulness because You are faithful.  I praise You, I exalt You, I celebrate You, I glorify You for Your faithfulness!  You are great!  Thank You Lord!  I know I can be faithful through Your power, in Jesus’ name, amen.
