Stand Firm

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but those who stands firm to the end will be saved. -Matthew 24:12-13

It makes one weary when we see too much wickedness going on. Yet the encouragement and assurance given us is for those "stand firm" will be saved -- will last til the end in eternity!

I've been experiencing coldness in agape love due to the wickedness of my surroundings. It is indeed discouraging to see a lot of things that we do not expect to see... And i'm sure that my discouragement has cause oter people to be discourage too. My choosing to "grow cold" is still under my control. I need to really step out into pressing on towards the end -- even if there are a lot of injustices, wickedness, personal agendas and the like. God is encouraging and admonishing me to be standing firm until the end regardless of people around me... I must not allow people to control my love for the Lord and others. Regardless the increase of wickedness, i must keep on keeping on.

// Lord, you know difficult this can be. But I know that your assurance always drives us to be strong in standing firm in the midst of this chaotic world. Help me to stand my ground and not allow the pressures of others to stress me oit but rather live a free life in You with te balance of being a blessing to others.. Please guide me daily that I may be wise in choosing righteousness at all times. Thank you for your word, in Jesus' name amen.
