Consecrate

Joshua 7:13
¹³ Up, sanctify (set apart for a holy purpose) the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow; for thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: There are accursed things in the midst of you, O Israel. You can not stand before your enemies until you take away from among you the things devoted [to destruction].

Our victory comes from setting ourselves apart for that holy purpose.  We cannot let anything not of God be in the midst of us; until then, we will never win unless we have something that's not right.  

It is my desire that in my own personal life, I am consecrated before God.  I ask God to help me let go and forgive those who have hurt me - and I have forgiven them and moved on.  Daily, I will consecrate myself before the Lord.  Until then, I know that God will be my victory.  I will remove anything that is 'accursed' in my midst - in my realm of influence, etc.  I will remove those as well and I know I can do that by daily consecration to the Lord.  

// Lord God, thank you for reminding me of the importance of consecration.  I pray that you forgive me for holding anything against anything - any unforgiveness in me, may you remove that spirit oh God.  I have forgiven those who hurt me and have brought pain in my life in one form or another. I pray that You will help me to daily consecrate by always getting my mind washed with your Word first thing in the day and just soaking and basking in Your presence through worship and prayer.  I just commit everything to You and I want to remind holy and pleasing before You.  In Jesus' name, amen.
