1 Peter 2:15
For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.
Doing good is the antidote to rumors by foolish men.
I don’t ever have to worry about what people say about me when I know that I am doing and obeying God’s ways. Of course, as it has been searched through and through, confirmed and affirmed by the Word of God and is at its peaceful conscience. This is in the context of submitting to authorities and yes there are those authorities that will use and abuse you in many different ways. Yet, as long as we know we are in the right – then you know you can silence those people who are talking rumors about you.
// Lord, help me to always be obedient to you even if there are people that talk bad about us believers – even within believers. I pray that you will help me to have a clear conscience that no matter what, I know deep in my heart, I am just obeying you and that’s all that matters. I know we please the right people when we are right before you, so help me to just focus on that. Guide me in every step of the way and lead me to only your ways. In Jesus’ name, amen.
