He's Serious

²⁷ Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.  [Revelation 21:27]

God is serious when he said that 'nothing impure' will ever enter heaven or 'what is shameful or deceitful' but 'only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.'  

It is scary yet encouraging to know that those who are saved, their names are in the book of life.  

How does this relate?  It is important to just keep a pure, shameless and honest/integral living daily.  This is basic, but very important.  

// I need to always just remind myself of this especially when I do not feel like it.  It is always during times when people are hard on me or annoying or when I am angry with people that my heart because full of shameful unforgiving things.  Yet, I need to let that go and allow God to just purify me and by His grace I can be changed.

// Lord, this is just my prayer today - that you would prepare me and help me daily to do your will in my life. I want to live a pure, shameless, and honest life - both in private and in public.  Help me to really be pure in heart, to not have a reason for people to put shame on me, and to be honest in however I can.  Please help me to just grab on to your grace - the only way I can do the impossible things that I cannot do on my own.  Help me to just trust in You.  You are my only hope.  In Jesus' name, amen.
