Job 38:2 Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
Job 42:3 You said to me Who is this that darkens and obscures counsel by words without knowledge? Therefore I now see I have rashly uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
Many times, we are just like Job when we're in the midst of suffering -- we speak too soon of things we don't even know what we're talking about... We know that God's counsel is not always explicit with reasons for the things that God wants to 'hide' from us (by hide, it means things He chooses not for us to know, or maybe that we are not capable of handling it). However, we can know that there's always a reason for things and we can trust that His ways are way ahead of us. They've been known by Him even before the creation of the world. Thus, we know that we can entrust whatever we do not know to Him and for the ones we know, to be faithful at it.
... I may have spoken too soon about my applying for another job. Or just being so vocal about some opinions without the balance of knowing God's will first, especially for those that are not given explicitly. I need to be faithful where I am now and believe that when God does move me, I will just know it when it comes.
... Lord, forgive me for the times when I spoke too soon of things I do not even understand. Help me to be slow to speak and slow to be angry on things around me. Help me to always be aware that you got it all figured out and that I can seek your ways through your word and trust that you will bring forth a revelation that only you can give for the things that I know needs direction and guidance. Guide me and help me to trust in your ways. In Jesus' name, amen.
