The Lord provides us with scriptures that give us warning for us to take heed on. Though armies we think we do not need them but when it comes a time that it comes about, then we need to remember it. The Israelites is an example for us to take heed on... Unbelief, disobedience, rebellion, etc. We need to remember the good and not follow the bad. Choose your ways wisely.
