Psalm 24:7
Lift up your heads, O you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
That the King of glory may come in.
It is true that when we are down, it is almost hard to praise The Lord. Hence we have to literally LIFT UP OUR HEADS to have The Lord enter into the gates of our praises. Do you office that when we are down, we don't like to praise God or do anything? Yet, we have been encouraged to LIFT UP OUR HEADS and for us to be LIFTED UP so the King of glory may come in. Do you want the King of Glory to come in? Then lift up your head from whatever it is pulling it down... There is a temptation to remain down because that is the pull of gravity and it is easy to do. Yet, God wants us to lift up our heads. It is a sign of victory and power.
I don't know where I may end up easily bowing my head in discouragement -- could be at work, or with some areas in my life where I feel low. Yet I know I need to LIFT UP MY HEAD that the King of Glory may come in. Whatever is causing me to be discouraged, I will lift up my head in victory by faith knowing that the King of Glory will come in when I do.
// Lord, thanks for preparing me for this. I pray that you help me lift up my head especially in discouraging times. Guide me in allowing you to enter in through my faith by lifting up my head in the midst if discouraging times. I thank you for your Word. Today, I will lift up my head ini victory! I am victorious because you live in me. In Jesus' name, amen.
