Personal

1 John 1:2-3
The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

The importance of personal experience and testimony is high in priority. When the John wrote this, he is saying that they have SEEN IT and TESTIFY to it because it has APPEARED TO THEM. They've HEARD it and have experienced it inside. Hence, they are confident and certain - because no one can argue about our personal testimonies. Not only with the salvation Christ has done for us, but even with the rhema word of God that speaks to us in our personal times with Him. We can never under estimate what 'God has said' to a person or to us. We should not argue. Even if they are lying or unsure about it, it is God who will guide and have it come to pass.

.. Need to always refresh how God has saved me - what he has saved me from (hell, eternal damnation, eternal separation, my old self and the life to come if I didn't have Christ). God is a massive God. Yet He really is personal. He speaks to me, thus I must listen and really personalize the Word of God. For me to be much effective in whatever I am doing, speaking about or 'selling', I need to be fully convinced of it myself - only can be done by God's Spirit. Otherwise, I am not wholly at it. I need to fully experience it so I can be effective.

// Lord, I know that there are still many things that I have to learn. I pray that you will help me to be serious in listening and hearing you daily - making it personal and making it 'my own' so I can be effective to others. Yes, there will be times when I will not get it all. So help me to have the patience and understanding that you will reveal it to me. But do help me with the hindrances that come along the way - that I may overcome them if they ever interfere in my listening to Your voice and experiencing your rhema Word. In Jesus' name, amen.
