Principles of Great Organization

Exodus 25:1-7
The Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give. These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze; blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather[a]; acacia wood; olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.

Amazing principles about organizations ---
.. It's okay to receive offerings
.. There will be those whose hearts will be prompted to give
.. People will give in different ways
.. Knowing what we 'are to receive from them' tells us the "what's" and the "why's" we receive such and what we have to do
.. It's okay to be 'choosy' when we receive offerings with the motivation to use them for specific purposes - receiving other items not necessarily relevant to the needs may just excess, could go to waste or become non-productive for the cause - hence the specifics of offerings (a sign of stewardship?)

Acts 6:2-4
So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

Again - principles of good organizations ---
.. Know our 'role' and what we exactly do in order to delegate or do what's the most important
.. Know who to delegate things to (character, competence, conviction)
.. Focus on 'what's most important' - give attention to the meat of our role (ie. prayer and ministry of the word for the Apostles)
.. Identify them and learn to let go of the minute details (ie. waiting on tables) and what consumes time that is not necessarily what's most important (though they could be important too).

What does this all have to do with me?
.. Be organized
.. Assess my roles (personal, ministry, daily)
.. Do what's most important
.. Let go of time-consuming responsibilities (social media, etc)
.. Learn to delegate to reliable people
.. Spot people full of character, great competence and deep conviction

// Lord, thank You for such wonderful principles from Your Word!  What else can I ask for?  You are always spot on!  Help me to do what's most important and to know my direction clearly that I can be more organized and efficiently effective with the role that you have given me.  Thank you so much.  In Jesus' name, amen.
