Real Hope

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:3-5 NKJV)

The Lord is good and knows what He's doing... When He gives us tribulations, he knows that it is an expression of love as they actually produce in us, perseverance then character then hope that does not disappoint us. It doesn't disappoint because the hope that comes from God is pure and will not give us falsehood.

Today, I just got a pay cut from work. I know that regardless of what's going on in my job and life in general, The Lord is bringing it to pass so it can help develop perseverance which then leads to the development of my character then the development of hope... I know and I am hopeful of what God is going to do in my life - thus I am giving thanks to The Lord for the tribulations that come - though it's hard. What is my hope? That The Lord will deliver us from the financial hardship. I am hopeful that one day, The Lord will provide me of someone who I can be with for the rest of my life - and I know that the HOPE in Christ is not disappointing but it is a development of life - perseverance and character.

// Lord, I trust in your ways. I thank you for the tribulations that I know one day will produce in me perseverance, character then hope. I thank you that the hope found in you is not disappointing as your word says. I pray that you will help me to persevere in times of tribulations. I commit to you my life and everyday activities. In Jesus' name, amen.
