Catalyst to Win!

...and said to them, “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. (Joshua 2:9 NIV)

Knowing the Lord's ways is definitely a guarantee that we know God is taking care of our actions. I find it interesting that even the "lie" Rahab did, The Lord still honored it as it was essentially honoring the will of God - to keep the Israelites from the king of Jericho at the time as they are conquering the promised land. Obviously, Rahab had wisdom on how to go about her decision in acknowledging what was the higher calling at the moment rather than only thinking of herself and not seeing the grandiose picture of God's will.

A few lessons I see:

.. Know the will of God
.. Know God's ways first before we can be justified by what we do
-- Rahab saw the big picture: she was hiding the spies from the wicked schemes of the king and so The Lord honored and justified her actions
.. Look beyond our own needs and look at the grander picture
.. Know the higher calling in every situation - for The Lord will justify those who do His will

Grateful that The Lord honors the times of when a higher calling needs attention in order to stay away from the evil things and to completely allow the will of God to unfold. Need to constantly be wise in all that I do... Knowing what is the higher calling at the moment as well as knowing that those who are the will of God are being hindered by wicked people. Including myself. I need to discern those opposing the will of God and those following the will of God. Whoever is following God truly, I must protect them and be a catalyst to a win!

Lord, help me to be a catalyst to ultimately having the Win to following your will, collectively and myself personally. I ask that you would guide in everything that I do Lord, that I may truly only do what is righteous before you. Guide me and lead me.. Please help me to be guided in your ways at all times. Forgive me for at times compromising the small things and leaning towards being comfortable in my walk with you. Help me to really be sold out to you in all things big or small... Thank you Lord for the strength you will give me, in Jesus' name, amen.
