You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

And, 'But my righteous one will live by faith, and I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.'

Perseverance is the key to not shrinking back in the faith. We know that the walk of faith isn't easy, thus we are called to persevere, to endure and to last... Fr only those who do not shrink back pleases The Lord.

Need to continually persevere especially during the times when I do not 'feel like it'. It is during those times when I need to endure all the more. Reminds me of when I planned to go to the gym only to find myself taking a nap in the car at the gym parking lot. What made me get up is the fact that I need to give myself time to see results.. Many times, I am not so on fire with my time with The Lord - the basics of devotional and prayer. Yet I know I just need to consistently do it even when I don't feel like it... Looking forward to the result will definitely help me look beyond the now and seeing the great harvest that will come later.


Lord, please help me... I need you more than I have been. Help me to persevere during times like these when I don't feel like doing my basic need of prayer and devotions. You are so faithful and I praise you for that. In Jesus' name, amen.
