Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. (Psalm 47:6, 7 NIV)
Many times have u struggled in my quiet times with God. Feeling too distracted and overwhelmed with many things that are sometimes too petty to even mention. Yet, when times like that happen, it is indeed real - real distractions and real blockage to understand God clearly. Yet I find that during my prayer today, I just worshipped God in songs. Then my mind was redirected again to Himself and the reality of His holiness.
When distracted, worship. When blocked by anything while trying to get in to God's presence, worship. Today, will just worship all day and sing to Him even in my quiet moments. It is my desire to be drawn closer to God. I will worship Him.
// Lord, thank you for always providing a way to get back to you. I ask that you would give me the motivation to have rich quiet times... And to just allow you to move in my midst regardless of my feelings and the distractions that come along the way. I will worship! In Jesus' name amen.
