High and Low

Psalm 139:8
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

Heavens - high places, lofty, perhaps wealthy places
Depths - low places, difficulty, 'darkness of the world'

'Make my bed in the depths' - seems like a willful act to be in the depths

Reminds us that where we may be placed in life, whether we are choosing to be in the depths or when we are placed in 'high' places, THE LORD IS THERE!

There is no escape with God.  Whether it be that we put in a certain place for a reason or what we chose to be where we are, the Lord never fails to 'show up'.  He is there! 

// I have nothing to fear when I am 'up' or when I sometimes choose to be 'down' below.  I need to remember that the Lord is WITH ME!  I have comfort in knowing that God is with me where ever I am and whatever stage in life I am in.

// Lord, THANK YOU that you are with me where ever, whenever.  I thank you that with any status in life or any experience I am in, You are there.  Please help me to remember this at all times.  In Jesus' name amen.
