Remember

I remembered you, God, and I groaned; I meditated, and my spirit grew faint. You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak. Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” (Psalm 77:3, 4, 10-12 NIV)

When our spirit grows faith
When our eyes are too heavy to open
When our hearts are troubled to speak,
Remember the miracles of long ago
Remember the works of The Lord
Meditate on the mighty deeds of God

This was definitely true for me when I was too troubled in my heart and was too weak to speak, open my eyes, and when my spirit was faint... Remembering the goodness of The Lord was definitely the route to go; the miracles of God of long ago and the works of The Lord from the past. We can be assured that when we remember them, it points us back to His faithfulness and His goodness.

What is one thing that I need to remember God's faithfulness in? That God will show up during rich times with Him. I need to look forward to that. Daily!

.. Lord thank you for such a guarantee from your Word. I ask that you strengthen me and give me more than the motivation to do what I need to do, my part, so you will also do your part - my receiving of your greatness and faithfulness. Though it is all by grace, I know that you reward those who are faithful to you, by your grace as well! In Jesus' name, amen.
