Put On

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. (Colossians 3:12-14 NKJV)

God knew that it would be hard for us to do these things thus we have to literally "put on" these qualities. To put on means that we didnt have it yet before thus we need to wear them. We are not born with these good qualities for we were all sinners. But now that we have been born anew in Christ, He gives us the empowerment to do what couldve been impossible to do. 

Daily, I've got to constantly "put on" these qualities knowing that I have the supernatural power to do what Christ calls me to become... 

Just as I daily "put on" clothes, I also need to put these qualities on under the umbrella of LOVE which binds all these qualities.
