On that day you will not be put to shame for all the wrongs you have done to me, because I will remove from this city those who rejoice in their pride. Never again will you be haughty ON MY HOLY HILL. But I will leave within you the meek and humble, who trust in the name of The Lord.
The Lord cannot stand prideful people in His holy hill. He will remove those who do not belong in his temple. But he leaves the ones who remain meek and humble.
V. 17
The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
V. 18
The sorrows for all the appointed feasts i will remove from you; they are a burden and a reproach to you.
V. 20
At that time i will gather you; at that time i will bring you home. I will gve you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes.
God wants to remove the ones that caused us trouble,sin and mourning. He will replace those things with what really only gives Him praise - what brings honor to his name. Because we humble ourselves before The Lord, He will lift us up in due time. He will not only bless us but will also "restore our fortunes" when we humble ourselves before Him.
// Personally, as I humble myself before The Lord, i know that He will restore what I've lost. He will also take great delight in what I do because He is honored. The key is to stay humble no matter what. Humility is the key to the heart of God. He is the only one to be praised and to be lifted high.
Lord, i am excited for the ones you are going to restore. Help me to remain humble no matter what comes along the way. You have big plans and i know that you will empower me to do things ive never done before. You've removed the pride on your holy hill, my heart. So i know you will restore everything that's been lost or that was taken by the enemy. In Jesus' name amen.
