at every inch of the moment
Make up reading from Wk 41 Day 1
Hebrews 10:36
36You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
.. After the writer of the book of Hebrews talked about the sacrifice of Christ once for all, he then did a challenge to persevere.
.. Since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus (we are now in the priesthood lineage as believers), we must persevere in doing the will of God.
// YOU NEED TO PERSEVERE
.. there will be trials daily
.. to persevere means to "to persist in anything undertaken; maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty, obstacles, or discouragement; continue steadfastly.
// DO THE WILL OF GOD
.. we need to persevere in doing the will of God because it will not be an easy one
.. the will of God is perfect, yet to do it is an impossibility; we will need the power of the Holy Spirit to empower us to do. However, we are sure to have this guidance as Christ has promised us.
// YOU WILL RECEIVE WHAT WAS PROMISED
.. there's a reward to perseverance
.. the reward is to receive what was promised - when? God's timing.
:: BELLE
.. I need to persevere in doing the will of God in my life in spite of all the discouragements, trials, times of "giving up", and obstacles (mostly myself!)
.. Just like when I work out, I need to just keep looking at the big picture (though I can't see all of it still) and looking ahead of the great things God is going to do to those who trust and persevere to receive the promise of God.
.. I must make it a goal to be joyful in spite of life's ups and downs.
// LORD, thank you for your Word that always reminds me to keep going. I pray that I will rely on you more and more as you have given me confidence to draw near to you every inch of the moment. Thank you for such great promise that if I persevere, I will receive and enjoy the benefits of doing your will. I pray that YOU will be glorified in me as I do your will in my life. Show me the way that I may choose to walk with you every inch of the moment. In Jesus' name, so be it!
