Psalm 138:8

⁸ The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me;
your love, O LORD, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands.

Psalm 139:15b-16

When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

¹⁶ your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

.. This is just great encouragement and reminder for me that I am made special in the eyes of God. No matter how much degrees I may get, educationally, or how well I work things out, or how much knowledge I may have about stuff - the Word, music and life in general, it does not give so much security as to my position as a person. It is how God sees me - special and purposed to do His will - that matters.
.. I need to remind myself this all the time that I am special in the eyes of God. I've heard this so many times but there are also many times that I feel insecure about myself. Yet, I know I ought to see myself as how God sees it. My confidence lies in the eyes of God, not based on what I do or what I see in myself.
.. At the same time, because I can be confident in Christ, I must work it out as well and act it out - the confidence I have in Christ will also give me stability and the ability to act as I should. I will continue to trust in Christ - do my part in showing a great example of what it means to have security in Christ alone - to not be moved by situations (emotionally) and to find a solid rock foundation (emotionally as well) in the heart of Christ.


// Lord, you know my heart. May you fulfill your purpose in my life as David have also prayed for himself. I want to be more confident in You alone. On my own, in my own knowledge, abilities and talents, I will not be able to provide security for myself and for others - but in YOU I know I can have the confidence. Please renew that back in me esp at times when I battle deep in my own self. YOU ARE MY CONFIDENCE and MY SECURITY. I trust in YOU, in Jesus' name, amen.
