Psalm 147:10-11
10 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,
nor his delight in the legs of a man;
11 the LORD delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.
// GOOD STUFF:
His pleasure is NOT..
.. in the strength of the horse
.. in the legs of a man
.. not in human might
.. not in what creation can do [based on what He's given]
.. not in what we can do (our might) based on what God has given us; our abilities
.. not on how far we can "walk" with our abilities
The LORD delights in..
.. those who fear [reverence, in awe, worship] Him
.. those who put their hope [to believe, desire, or trust] in His unfailing [agape] love
// BELLE:
.. It is not through what I can do that the Lord takes pleasure in, but only those that I do OUT of my reverence, awe, worship, and fear of Him.
.. He delights when I put my hope, my desire, my belief, my trust in His love - the unfailing love that does not wither, nor does it fade, or asks for anything back, nor one that counts my mistakes - it is His love that overlooks all that I did that were unpleasant before His sight.
.. I have learned over the past months what it means to fully trust in God's love through certain circumstances in my life. YES, I will continue to do so - trusting in His unfailing love - one that will lead me to the best things according to what pleases Him. I will just be obedient and live my life in fear and awe of the Almighty God!
// Lord, thank you for Your love. I pray that You will continue to remind of this truth that You desire my worship of You and not what I can do for You. I will be obedient in all that I do. Please enable me through Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, amen.
