Wk 52 Day 3

Esther 6:1-2, 6
1 That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him. 2 It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes.
6 When Haman entered, the king asked him, "What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?"
Now Haman thought to himself, "Who is there that the king would rather honor than me?"

// Characters:

.. King Xerxes
> could not sleep
> opened the book of the chronicles (for leisure?)
> found great stuff that happened
> gave credit to Mordecai for what he did for the people

.. Haman
> was so engrossed with himself
> assumed that king Xerxes would honor him
> had a selfish heart
> only thought about his good

// About God:

.. How does God play along these characters?
.. God worked in the life of King Xerxes - who would've thought that he would read the book of Chronicles where Mordecai's name was recorded for honoring the king? If he didn't read the book, he wouldnt have known what Mordecai did; Haman would've succeeded in his evil plot.
.. God allowed the the king to not be able to sleep for that to happen. Natural (and common) stuff that happens to all of us in which God can turn into supernatural and miraculous, only God-led events (the reading of the book of Chronicles).
.. God honored Mordecai for what he did.
.. God stirred up events that was totally not man-manipulated (even before Esther finally asked her request during the second banquet)

// BELLE:

.. Why can't I believe enough for God to turn things around to the best of things? I do believe.
.. What causes me to hinder my belief that God can do miraculous things without my help? When things "don't go the way they should", I sometimes fret. I must not. I will just keep trusting and do my best to divert my thinking when it saps my strength thinking that things are impossible to happen.
.. God can work the best of miracles in my life. I just have to be faithful in my doing my part - just as Mordecai and Esther were faithful in praying and fasting (as well the rest of the Jews.) Because of their faithfulness, God honored it and did supernatural things, even using the natural "coincidences" in life to make His glory revealed.

// HALLELUJAH! You are great Oh Lord. You are a God who can make miracles. Nothing compares with You. You are awesome and You are wonderful. I just pray that You will help me to remain faithful in You. Please lead me to only do what pleases You and even at the times when I think things aren't going the way they should in my own perspective, please remind me that You know it all. YOU KNOW ALL THINGS and I will just love [agape] You at all times. You are my guide and You are my direction. I love You Lord, so much that I am willing to give up everything for Your name's sake. I have done that and I will continue doing so. Thank you for YOUR LOVE. In Jesus' name, amen.
