28 When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice.
// THOUGHTS:
.. God is the source of wisdom.
.. God gave Solomon the wisdom he asked for - v. 9
.. God's wisdom is beyond all of the earth's wisdom and knowledge
.. God provides wisdom as He pleases - v. 10
.. Solomon asked of what the Lord is pleased with - v. 10
.. God's will is something He is pleased with
.. When we ask according to His will He will hear us
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (1 John 5:14)
And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. (AMP)
.. With Solomon's request, the Lord was pleased with it - Solomon asked what the Lord desired, what He willed for Solomon, and it was in agreement with God's own plan - and the Lord listened to His request

If God's wisdom is beyond earth's comprehension...

.. I may have been praying selfishly, or am I?
.. I will pray according to His will - I will know His will and get wisdom (meditate on the Word day and night, acquire knowledge, apply knowledge daily)
.. I am excited to pray according to God's will! Not that I haven't but at times I know I still do forget to pray ACCORDING TO God's will - hence, my prayers aren't "heard" because I am just being selfish.
.. I will pray according to what the Lord desires of me to do and to be.
// Lord, I pray that my prayers will be in accordance to Your will. Please forgive me for selfishly praying many times. I pray that you give me the enormous hunger for your wisdom that I may know Your will in my life in all aspects whether big or small. I want to know what to do specifically in my life with certain things. I want to know Your will daily that I may know exactly how to pray and talk to You about them. Help me to understand what they are and may You lead my heart to the right direction. Thank you for hearing me and understanding me. You remain who You are and I am grateful - forever grateful. All these I pray in Jesus' name, amen.
