Squall

Luke 8:24-25a
24The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!" He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25"Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.

// THOUGHTS:

.. The disciples, knowing that Jesus was in the boat, had all confidence that Jesus would do something about the squall
.. They didn't act in faith - Jesus asked "Where is your faith?" - possibly meaning, they could've calmed the storm if they just believed and acted in the authority that God has already empowered to them - if they'd just believe what God has already said.
.. Jesus, of course, calmed the storm.

.. There's nothing wrong to ask for help but when our fears are overwhelmed and we already are acting in fear, we look at the squalls of life and think that we're going to drown. We forget that Jesus is IN the boat.

// BELLE:

.. What squalls do I have right now that I am acting in fear about? I need t o believe and realize what the Word already said.

// Lord, I am so sleepy and tired right now. But please help me remember and let this word since in to me tonight. You are great, in Jesus' name, amen
