Revelation 21:5
5He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
// THOUGHTS:
What a great encouragement to know that ahead of us are all NEW. When everything of every thing has passed away – the first heaven and the first earth (v. 1), there will be the new heaven and the new Jerusalem (v. 2) where are no more tears, no more death, or mourning or crying or pain (v. 4), we know that God who is seated on the throne will declare “I am making everything new!” We can hold on to this because these are “trustworthy and true.” and they are to come!
If God is able to make ALL things new, how can we not learn to trust him to let go of the “old order of things” and allow Him to make things new for us? He has the capability to do so because He is God. Allow Him by trusting Him. Let Him make all things new in your life.
// BELLE:
I can look forward to what’s coming ahead. Future-wise, by the grace of God, I am heaven-bound because of the salvation that I hold in Christ Jesus. Practicality-wise, He can make ALL things new in my life when I completely trust in Him. I need to let go of hanging on to the “old order of things” and allow Him to make things all anew in my life. How? I gotta let Him change me; take me to a place where He will mold me to be that person He wants me to be; I gotta be vulnerable to His pruning and let Him do the work.
In Christ, ALL THINGS ARE NEW! I will let Christ rule in my life daily; moment by moment. Every thought will be entrusted to Him that He may captivate my heart and my thoughts and let Him transform them anew.
// LORD, thank you for your comfort. I pray that you will help me to trust in You in everything. Help me to let go of the “old order of things” in my life – things that didn’t please you, my unscriptural thoughts, my own personal condemnations, my own judgments, etc. Make ALL things new in my life as I trust in You daily. Guide me Oh Lord that I will not give in to how it used to be. Help me to trust in You. If I can trust in You in the heavenly future, I should be able to trust in the practical future here on earth. Help me not to have a hard time trusting in you on what you can do with the temporal things or needs I may have here on earth. You know all things and I will trust in You! In Jesus’ name, amen.
