I am Your servant

Wk 1 Day 1
Genesis 1-2; Luke 1

Luke 1:38, 45
 38"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

45Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!"

 // THOUGHTS:

2 Things:
Submission - to what God said He would do
Faith - belief to what God has said

Mary could've been doubtful when the angel said she was going to bear Jesus in her womb.  But instead, she submitted with a "whatever you say, Lord" attitude and believed that it would happen.

It was something impossible, but she said, "if you say so... let it be"

Worth noting:  "I am the Lord's servant..." is a statement of complete submission and obedience to whom authority is due - God!

// BELLE:

I am the Lord's servant as well.  I need to always have the attitude of submission to what God said he would do - or ask me to do - like Mary who was used to bring forth in human form, salvation - Christ Jesus.  God can do mighty things as He uses me in His kingdom.  Whatever He says, I will obey because I am His servant.

I need to submit and believe that though there are impossible things God said He would do, I will just gladly believe and anticipate the coming of it.  For Mary, it was just a matter of time to see her stomach get bigger (a physical proof of what the angel said would happen).  In the same way, the conception of things that God plans to occur through us begins in and with Him.  It's just a matter of time to see the physical proof of these things that God said would happen.

Let the Lord be glorified and magnified.  Let me be submissive and obedient to the call of God in my life.

// LORD, thank you that Your Word remains what it is - true.  I pray that You will empower me to continually believe and not give up.   There are things that you say will happen, and I believe it will.  I guess, it really is just a matter of time to see the physical proof.  I am your servant, may it be to me as You have said.  I will obey and submit to You for I know you know all things and these things are perfect, giving glory back to You.  In Jesus' name, amen.
