Week 5 Day 4
Exodus 30-33; Acts 8
Exodus 31:1-5
1 Then the LORD said to Moses, 2 "See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts- 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.
// THOUGHTS:
In God's sovereign power, He has chosen people to do certain things that not other people can or perhaps, even will do. These are not necessarily "special" people since we are all special in the eyes of God. These are people who are appointed for a specific purpose at any given time the Lord appoints. Why? God has His way of doing things; having people do things with specific gifts and abilities for specific purpose. God knows and He has thought these things out completely beforehand.
With this, God has gifted us with the Spirit of God through Christ, skill, ability, and knowledge in certain things. We must be faithful in carrying out what God wants us to do to engage in what God has purposely made us for. If one doesn't know yet, one must seek out what these things are. For those who already know, they must be faithful in obeying what God has intended for them to do and be.
// BELLE:
Here we go again. Diligence and faithfulness in the specific things God has called me to do. God has this specific purpose for me for the abilities, skills, knowledge, etc that He has loaned to me. Am I being faithful? Am I serving and using them for the purpose God has created them to be? I need to be diligent in carrying out what God has called me to do. Yes, those 4 things, Belle.
// LORD, thanks for the great reminder again. You never fail. Please help me to carry out the tasks that You have for me with great effectiveness and efficiency. I want to be used by You. In Jesus' name, amen.
