Confirmed

Week 6 Day 3
Acts 14

Acts 14:3
So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.

Paul and Barnabas' ministry was confirmed by God enabling them to perform signs and wonders.

As believers, we have been given God's grace to confirm God's ministry in our own personal lives.  "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." (2 Peter 1:3)  We must confirm God's work in us by how we live our lives.  It may not necessarily be through signs and wonders - but through what God has done for us and in us.

// BELLE:

How am I confirming what I am preaching?  My life - by the grace of God.  Living by example and doing the best that I can to cooperate with the Spirit's work in me; believing in faith and receiving the promises of God by doing my part for Him to accomplish His work in me day by day.

I've got the power.  I will do my best to cooperate with God's power at work in me so He can confirm what I teach to people regarding God's truths.

// LORD, please help me to always be obedient to You.  Thank you for the assurance that you have already given me enough grace for me to walk in godliness.  I pray that You will confirm the words I speak to others about you by "signs and wonders" in my life.  It may not be the same as that of Paul's and Barnabas', but I pray that You will make it evident to others.  I will be faithful to you.  In Jesus' name, amen.
