Worth the Tediousness

Week 5 Day 7
Exodus 37-38; Psalm 19; Acts 11

Exodus 38:22-23
(Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made everything the LORD commanded Moses; 23 with him was Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan—an engraver and designer, and an embroiderer in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen.)

There is a series of topics I have been delving into - the lesson on diligence on what God has called us (and me, personally) to do.

In this passage, it has been done - what God has commanded them to do for the Tabernacle.  Here in this is the accounting of what was used for the building of it - how much they weighed, what was used, the colors, etc.

We see the importance of diligently following through what God has commanded - every specific detail and every specificity of the call and the significance of obedience regardless of its tediousness.  Of course, the Lord blessed the tabernacle after all has been done (Exodus 40).  Praise God for their example of obedience and faithfulness to the call of God in their lives.  They have been recorded and we are now reading about their obedience generations past even after the time of the Apostles.  Hallelujah for those who are truly obedience, faithful, and diligent people who humbly and willingly obey the call of God in their lives to its details.

// BELLE:

More, more, more on diligence, faithfulness, obedience to the Lord's call in my life to do.  There is an urgency to this.  I admit, I have been very busy with dealing with personal matters.  I've also derailed myself with some "noise" that interferes in the way of diligently doing the work of God.  It's time to move up - faster, quicker, and more productive.  I am heeding the call of God in my life more effectively.  Being proactive at it and focusing on what I have been called to do at this time in my life.  Having a sense of urgency to these tasks and making sure I am diligent in fulfilling them to its details and specifics.

Lord, may Your grace abound in me as I obey you and faithfully, diligently to whatever you have called me to do.  I know what they are.  Please give me grace to do this with the best that I can.  I love You Lord.  Thank you for reminding me over and over again.  In Jesus' name, amen.

// MORE GOOD STUFF:  Excerpt from Psalm 19

7 The law of the LORD is perfect,
   refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy,
   making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the LORD are right,
   giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant,
   giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is pure,
   enduring forever.
The decrees of the LORD are firm,
and all of them are righteous.
