What Really Counts

Week 11 Day 4
Deut. 28-29; Galatians 6

Galatians 6:15
Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.

  • No legalistic thing or any religious act that can save us.
  • There is not enough good things we can do to earn our salvation nor the forgiveness of our sins.
  • "what counts is a new creation"  and this is IN CHRIST alone!

The Galatians were swayed into thinking that circumcision (as an old testament covenant) will still save them even after Paul already told them about Christ.  Here, he is trying to re-explain to them that it is NEW CREATION In Christ is what counts; not what we do or what we say or any other religious rights we do.

  • Are you still trying to earn salvation by what you do "for God?"
  • Have you been changed as a new creation?  How do you know?  Do you have proofs?

// BELLE:

I am a new creation in Christ alone!  I truly praise God for His forgiveness.  I do not deserve to be doing what I am doing if not for Christ.  He is who I worship with ALL THAT I AM.  I will give Him my all.  I will do what it takes to please Him even if it hurts or embarrasses me.  I have nothing to worry about because I can trust in Him who will take care of everything as long as I know this is what He wants me to do.

LORD, I praise You so much with my life, the forgiveness you have fully given to me.  In You, I am a new creation.  That is ONLY IN AND THROUGH YOU, JESUS CHRIST!!!  I can never repay you back!  (sigh)  LORD, thank YOU so much.  I will live my life for You!  Thank you for creating me a new spiritually and have given me the right to become Your child.  Your salvation is REAL!  I praise You.  I pray that You will help me to live it daily and to crucify my flesh for as long as I live.  You are awesome!  Please help me to carry out what needs to be done in Your kingdom here on earth; whatever you have assigned me to do.  Thank you for reminding me of your forgiveness - now afresh in my heart again!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  In Jesus' name, amen.
