Not Unaware

Week 14 Day 1
Judges 13-16; 2 Corinthians 2

2 Corinthians 2:10-11
10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

From the passage above, unforgiving allows and opens up an entry way for Satan to carry on his schemes.  Just like what Paul said, we are not unaware of his schemes.  Like Delilah who prodded day after day to find out the secret of Samson's strength (Judges 16), Satan prods day after day to tempt us that he may carry out his schemes.  If we are unforgiving, we are showing him a loophole and therefore, could be where he could penetrate.

Therefore, forgive.  And pray for those who are not able to forgive that they may be protected by the Lord; that the enemy will not penetrate by allowing unforgiveness to take root in their lives towards those who have sinned against them.  For those who we need to forgive, let them know they are forgiven - by God first then by us whom God also forgave.  We need to reaffirm our love for them and even comfort them. [This may not be easy for those who have a hard time forgiving, reaffirming, or comforting; but this is God's call for us regardless what we feel.]

I will not allow the enemy to find that unforgiving loophole in my life.  For those who may have done me wrong, I must be willing to forgive, to reaffirm love, and even to comfort them that first, God has already forgiven them (no sin is too great for God's forgiveness) and second, that I have already moved on past that wrong they have done against me.

For those who haven't forgiven me of what I have done against them, may the Lord just protect them from the enemy's schemes.  I will still be penitent and be supportive to them regardless of their unforgiveness.  May God's love just about for it is only through His agape, unconditional love that we are able to forgive.  I will live a repentant life and be praying for them who are probably struggling in forgiving.

Lord, if in my heart I have not forgiven all people who have done me wrong, I pray that You make that forgiveness for them real in my heart that I will also move on and make that be done away with as You have already done that on the cross for me!  I am in no position not to forgive those who have wronged me for you have forgiven me greatly of my sins - perhaps, greater than what they themselves have done against you! I pray that you protect those who may be struggling in forgiving others, and me (including myself to those who wronged me) that the enemy will not penetrate.  I know You have Your way of doing things.  I will still be living a repentant life.  I am new in You; praise Your name.  Regardless of the lost trust between myself and to those I may have offended, I pray that You be the mediator and take control of each situation.  I trust that You got all these controlled.  I will still live for You and continue to live a new life!  In Jesus' name, amen.
