Week 18 Day 2

1 Chronicles 16; Psalm 106; Matthew 19

Matthew 19:8

Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

>>

Because of the hard hearts of the people, God made provisions through Moses for divorce.  However, like Jesus said, “it was not this way from the beginning”.   Which tells us that:

.. God really has his way of doing things [perfect and pleasing; His blueprint for us]

.. For marriage:  there shouldn’t be any room for divorce since marriage is sanctified and must’ve been thought out from the very beginning.

.. The original plans of God are the best and man thwarts it because of their evil intents.

.. God’s grace is great that even with man’s disobedience, He provides for us a way out.  However, we do not abuse God’s grace.  Instead, we embrace it and let our lives be evident of His working grace.

God has a perfect blueprint for me.  Even if I mess up, He reroutes me to His perfect will and plan.  I will seek Him and just solely live for Him.  Then whatever need I may have along the way, I know that He will provide the perfect provision.  I will be careful in living my life for Him that my decisions will be always inclined to God’s design; that God’s plans will not be thwarted by my own selfish motives and desires.  I just gotta go with the flow of God’s original ways for me.

>>>>

Lord, Your ways are indeed higher than mine.  And the things that I know I have thwarted  against you, though may not be divorce as the passage above says, I know that Your grace is so great that You will re-route me to Your perfect will.  Thank you for your love and for all that you have been doing in my life.  This next chapter of life is going to be more exciting knowing that You are the one in control of it.  I lift up to You everything.  In Jesus’ name, amen!
