Ecclesiastes 7:8
Finishing is better than starting.
      Patience is better than pride.

// Faithfulness is key to finishing. No matter what comes along the way - when things seems to be unfortunate in the situations in life or there are set backs that build in the midst, I must remember that God calls me/us to finish not only to start.  He is faithful to complete each work He started in us, therefore, we must trust that He will constantly empower us to be the best that we can be for what He's called us to do.  His call, His provision.

15 I have seen everything in this meaningless life, including the death of good young people and the long life of wicked people. 16 So don’t be too good or too wise! Why destroy yourself? 17 On the other hand, don’t be too wicked either. Don’t be a fool! Why die before your time? 18 Pay attention to these instructions, for anyone who fears God will avoid both extremes.

// Fearing God is the key to "moderate living."  Revering and always giving God the highest of regard for that is what matters most; not us.  I must build a daily habit of revering God intentionally by praising Him, thanking Him, and always counting the blessings that He has given me.

Ephesians 4:16b (GNT)

So when each separate part works as it should, the whole body grows and builds itself up through love.

// I must be faithful in doing my part in the body.  I am accountable for the things that I am assigned to do; the things that God called me to do and become for the building of His Kingdom.  I must be faithful!  Doing my job and always finding ways on how I can be more excited and enthusiastic in building the Kingdom where I belong, locally, FCF.

22 So get rid of your old self, which made you live as you used to the old self that was being destroyed by its deceitful desires.23 Your hearts and minds must be made completely new,24 and you must put on the new self, which is created in God's likeness and reveals itself in the true life that is upright and holy.

// As God's children, we ought to get rid of our old self - by changing our hearts and minds completely new and by putting on the New Self, found in Christ - upright and holy.  If I am a new creation, I must intentionally put on Christ - my new self - upright and holy in all aspects of my being.  God will empower and He will give me strength to do so.

LORD, how awesome is Your word.  I can't just think of one verse to learn something for today and even yesterday's.  Thank you for these things that I know is helping me get shaped to be more like You.  Let Your power just continually manifest in my life!  Thank you Lord, In Jesus' name, amen.
