Ecc. 3:12-13 (NLT)
12 So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. 13 And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.
Happiness and enjoyment are gifts from God. Why hold back? As long as we do it in the boundaries of what builds other people up and what shows off God's goodness, then we must show forth so - especially around unbelievers; that they may believe and see the awesomeness of being a believer in Christ.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. [Ephesians 2:10]Doing the good things that God has planned for us long before we even became anew in Christ. Let us show forth God's masterpiece - our lives being made new in Christ!
Today, enjoy and be happy for it is God's gift! No more worries or sadness in light of God's gifts and plans. He planned for us, new in Christ, to do good - enjoying life and living the life God wants for us; therefore, we must enjoy living and show forth Christ's goodness to others!
That's what I'll be - daily! Happy and enjoying for these are gifts of God!
Lord, thank you for reminding me what life is about - YOU. Thank you for your goodness that includes enjoyment and happiness in this life on earth. You are worthy to be praised for You created me to enjoy Your goodness and Your love. I will enjoy life and I will be happy regardless of what life brings. You are my joy and my happiness! In Jesus' name, amen.
