Take Position

2 Chronicles 20:17, 20, 22 (Good News)

You will not have to fight this battle. Just take up your positions and wait; you will see the Lord give you victory. People of Judah and Jerusalem, do not hesitate or be afraid. Go out to battle, and the Lord will be with you!

²⁰ Early the next morning the people went out to the wild country near Tekoa. As they were starting out, Jehoshaphat addressed them with these words:
         People of Judah and Jerusalem! Put your trust in the Lord your God, and you will stand your ground. Believe what his prophets tell you, and you will succeed.

 ²² When they began to sing, the Lord threw the invading armies into a panic.

.. The battle is always the Lords [it is not ours]
.. Just like the Israelites, we ought to take up our positions and wait on the Lord to do the work [they did their part in having God do the job of fighting for them]
.. Trusting in the Lord will help us stand our ground; taking up our positions; letting God do the work
.. Trusting in God involves trusting in the "prophets" (delegated authority) that God has placed over us in order for us to succeed
.. The Lord indeed inhabits the praises of His people - when the Israelites began to sing praises to the Lord, the Lord "set ambushes against" the enemy.

Principles:
_Don't fight your battles alone
_Take your position by trusting God and his delegated authority
_Praise & worship the Lord unceasingly

_See God's work come to pass in his own time and pleasure!


My job is to "take position" by trusting God and his delegated authority.  When at times I feel that I am fighting my own battle, I need to just let go and literally start praising God.

What battles am I facing at the moment?  Personal struggles and outside struggles that involve people.  All these I must allow God to take control by taking my position.  The Lord's words does not go void.  They come to reality because He is God!

// LORD, I believe that in You, all of these life battles are yours!  I pray that you will just give me the strength and the ability to completely trust in You.. to continually praise you and just believe that You got enough power to do anything impossible.  I may not know exactly what these battles are besides the little things I got, but I know that You will guide me every single step of the way to victory!  You are omnipotent forever!  In Jesus' name, amen.
