Come and Go

Psalm 102:25-27

²⁵ In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
   and the heavens are the work of your hands.
²⁶ They will perish, but you remain;
   they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
   and they will be discarded.
²⁷ But you remain the same,
   and your years will never end.

 

God is always unchanging.  Man and earth will change or will eventually vanish.  Things come and go.  Stuff will wear out like garment and eventually they’d have to be changed and tossed away.  Regardless of all that, GOD REMAINS THE SAME AND WILL NEVER END nor rot nor change. 

We can never hold on to the things of this world because they will all go away.  While we can, we must make the most of every thing and every opportunity before things go away.  We also must not worry when things come then go because that is how it is with life on earth – they will come and go!  But we can trust that no matter what is coming and going here on earth, as they ought to, God will remain the same.  He is the same God that has laid the foundations of the earth – that can build new foundations when some foundations of this earth will go away.  He will change things like garment; good as new, that we can use again for the glory of His name. 

// I don’t have to worry about anything.  Even when things or people come and go, God will remain the same.  He is able to rebuild everything that has gone and will give new ones according to what He wills.  My job is just to trust in Him and know that I too will eventually go away from this world or whichever position or place I may be at.  I just need to be faithful and not worry about things or people when they do come and go!  God, who remains the same, will never end or change.  So, live life worry-less and embrace things and people coming ahead.  Be faithful to where I am planted and bloom until God wants me to do others. 

 

Lord, it’s true, people and things do come and go.  Yet, I have nothing to worry about because You are the one that matters and You never change.  I pray that you will help me in this transition process of embracing new challenges and new faces that come along the way.  Help me to remain faithful to You no matter what happens and just trust that all things are in the palm of Your hands, taken cared of.  Glorify Your name in all things.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
