Isaiah 11:3b-5
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness will be his belt
and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
A prophecy about Jesus Christ as the one true Savior.
Characteristics of God from this passage >> does not judge by mere appearances or hearsay but WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS and FAITHFULNESS. Man, on the other hand is not able to do this unless if he also has the Spirit of the Lord resting on him. (v. 2) It is only then that man would be able to judge with righteousness accompanied by faithfulness.
In judging things out, I need to make sure that it is done out of the RIGHTEOUS ways of GOD – Biblically based ways that are proven, and confirmed; and that I am acting out of my FAITHFULNESS to the Lord on the acts I engage myself into.
Righteous ways of God and faithfulness to the Lord IN EVERYTHING!
// Lord, how perfect You are. I cannot fathom Your goodness. Thank you for sharing such wonderful characteristics of yours to me even just a little part of it. I will walk in Your ways all the days of my life and live for you out of my faithfulness to Your call in my life. Thank for such beautiful words that never ceases to guide and lead me to the next steps of life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
