Look to the One

Isaiah 22:10-11

10 You counted the buildings in Jerusalem
and tore down houses to strengthen the wall.
11 You built a reservoir between the two walls
for the water of the Old Pool,
but you did not look to the One who made it,
or have regard for the One who planned it long ago.

God >> He’s given us many things in this world and has had plans for them for us to use and to the glory to Him.

Man >> We use God’s given stuff and “rebuild” them thinking that it was our work who did it; forgetting that it was actually God who made them for us.

Sin >> Neglecting what God has made and taking credit for what God has done.

Command >> Look to God.  Remember what He has given and what He has done for us; what He made for us to use and expand.

// All these gifts and talents I have received are from God.  As I build and grow them as I live my life daily for Him, I must intentionally give praise to Him and looking back to what He has done; how He has created and gifted them to me for His glory and honor.  With the talents and skills God has given, I must point the back to their Creator, God the Almighty!

// Lord, thank You for such great gifts You have provided that I may do what You have promised and what You have planned for me to do.  I know that these gifts and skills you have provided because You have planned it a long time ago so I can fulfill what You have willed for me.  Thank you for equipping me and for giving me the privilege to experience obeying you and trusting You.  I praise You for everything and in You, I will give praise always!  In Jesus’ name, amen.
