Jeremiah 22:24-27
24“As surely as I live,” declares the Lord, “even if you, Jehoiachinc son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were a signet ring on my right hand, I would still pull you off.
25I will hand you over to those who seek your life, those you fear—to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to the Babylonians.d
26I
will hurl you and the mother who gave you birth into another country,
where neither of you was born, and there you both will die.
27You will never come back to the land you long to return to.”
As I was reading this today at lunch, I had such raging thoughts about God removing His hand of blessings over people who are rebellious and disobedient. Whether it be from childhood or an adult person, it is possible for the Lord to remove His hand away from a disobedient being.
Principle to learn -- the Lord's hand is on the obedient and submissive. The Lord is also merciful; He will give us so many changes to change in order that He won't "give up" on us. He actually doesn't, but because of man's disobedience and rebellion, He is "forced" to remove His hand over that person because of a hardened heart.
When the Lord speaks and we hear Him, we must listen and obey. That means that God is still clearly heard and must be taken heed. I will definitely obey whatever the Lord speaks to me about. I must go about in keeping myself under the covering the God's mighty hand of protective blessings. Anything outside of God's hand is not under God's protected blessings -- life then, becomes very fragile both spiritually and physically. I must keep the presence of God fresh by obeying Him and hearing His voice.
// LORD, thank You that You don't and have never given up on me. Thank you for the grace by bringing me back up at the times when I thought I would already be off of your protective hands. Thank you that you have sustained me at times when I don't want to listen to You. You are indeed merciful and You are faithful to Your word. I will hear You out and obey what You call me to do. Thank you Jesus for Your amazing love. In Jesus' name, amen.
