Everything, HIS

Luke 12

You must not set your heart on what you eat or drink, nor must you live in a state of anxiety. The whole heathen world is busy about getting food and drink, and your Father knows well enough that you need such things. No, set your heart on his kingdom, and your food and drink will come as a matter of course.”

.. This is the direct parallel of Matthew 6.

.. Profound words of wisdom from Jesus.

.. Setting our hearts on HIS KINGDOM and our necessities will come as a matter of course.

.. HIS KINGDOM = His Will, His Word, His plans, His direction, His ways, His righteousness, everything His!

Questions --

.. Do you still worry about the physical aspects of life?  Food, clothing, “necessities?”

.. Are still anxious when the things we need “aren’t met” in our timeframe?

.. How much have we set our HEARTS on His Kingdom?

// I still do worry about the “necessities”  - not so much on food or clothes or drink - but more on gas consumption, relationship, provision for Julia, perhaps, knowledge to do certain things that I think are “necessary.”  BUT YET, I know God calls us to SET OUR HEARTS ON HIS KINGDOM – to just PUT HIM FIRST in everything – doing things HIS way and everything WILL FALL INTO PLACE.

This is a great affirmation again that in certain areas of my life (ie. future relationships, etc.) God has everything under control.  Yes, I have rushed them at one point thinking it was HIS way; yet it produced or already had loopholes to begin with.  Hence, it ended.  God knows better and on this road to HIS perfectly planned lifestyle ahead of me, I (ONLY) NEED TO JUST PUT HIS KINGDOM ahead of my own.  Dying to myself and to day-by-day live for His Kingdom.  Setting my HEART on everything His!

// Lord, WHAT A REMINDER again and an affirmation of a great direction leading towards a great future.  I pray that You will help me to daily purify my heart – that it would be set on Your Ways alone, Your will alone, Your direction alone, everything Yours alone… i know at times that could be very difficult but yet I will struggle forward until it becomes easy.  I will PRESS ON!  I will enjoy this process to my destination.  I praise YOU Lord for You never leave me in the ditch when I wasn’t very faithful to You.  Help me to move forward with great joy and gladness knowing that YOU have the best ahead of me.  All this life is Yours and I will live it wholly for YOU!  In Jesus’ name, amen.
