Ezekiel 30:19
“So I will inflict punishment on Egypt and they will know that I am the Lord.”
v. 25 --
“I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh will fall limp. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he brandishes it against Egypt.
Ezekiel 31:10-11
10 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because the great cedar towered over the thick foliage, and because it was proud of its height, 11 I gave it into the hands of the ruler of the nations, for him to deal with according to its wickedness…
The Lord…
- can inflict punishment
- will allow our enemies to be “strengthened”
- can tear down anything we’ve built
--- when we are hoarding selfishly of the “glory” instead of giving the Lord the glory He deserves.
Lessons:
-- In every accomplishment, we ought to give back the glory to God.
-- The Lord is not afraid in humbling his people; He will do it when necessary.
-- Always return the praises and the “props” to God in everything we do, accomplish, or be praised with. God is the one who enables us to do great things. Therefore, He deserves to be returned with the glory.
-- Be in the habit of saying “Glory to God” or “Praise God” to acknowledge His power in the midst of other people; to let them know that it is God’s power who enabled us to do great things for Him.
-- Always have a thankful heart both inside and out (previous point)
// The Lord took away all possible reasons that will cause me to “hoard” glory to myself. I know the Lord does not hold back in allowing great accomplishments to happen in my life. However, God wants to receive back ALL the glory for it is Him who allows, enables, and gives me power to do them in His name. This year, I can say that the pruning and discipline process I have gone through is all because God wants to be glorified all in all. I give Him praise from the beginning of this year to now, the end of the year being the one who truly deserves ALL the praise and glory. He gives and he takes away--- BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD! ALL GLORY TO HIM!
// Lord, YOU DESERVE THE HIGHEST PRAISE!!! No matter how hard this year was, YOU are to be praised. You allowed things to happen. You enable me to go through this year with more than enough power to be ready to face another year. You deserve praise in every bit of accomplishment and all that You’ve enabled me to do for YOU ARE THE REASON for all the great things in this life. I will continually praise You and honor You with my life!!! YOU DESERVE THE PRAISE AND GLORY, JESUS CHRIST! Amen.
