Daniel 1:20

In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.

 

I’d like to go off on the idea of Bevere’s “Extraordinary” living by means of God’s grace (favor and enablement.) 

Daniel, Shad, Rach, and Benny were 10x better than the rest of those who worked for the kingdom.

This tells me what those who are infused by God are 10x better than rest who are not infused by God.

Not only the guys were 10x better in wisdom and understanding, but also in their physicalities – they are who we call “perfect”

But God calls us to be perfect for our heavenly Father is perfect… this is talking about aiming towards that perfection in Christ and through God’s grace (unmerited favor or empowerment)

With this 2nd day of a 21 day self-denial on food (a fast on fastfood and unhealthy food) and just getting back up on track with everything – physically and spiritually -  I know that I can also be like these guys… I have the grace of God that will empower me to do the great things He’s planned and called for me to do and become.  10x better than who I used to be.  God has infused me and I will take hold of it!  I am willing to deny myself and if it means to sacrifice items all over again like I did before, I know it will bring glory to God!

 

// LORD, I embrace Your empowerment as I go on on this simple fast – yet very difficult as I have been used to the “junks.”  Please remove anything that will cause me to “defile” myself with the (esp. right now with junk food.)  I am ready to be used by You all over again.  Prepare me Lord, again!  In Jesus’ name, amen.
