Dare to Hope

I will never forget this awful time,
as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends!
His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD. And it is good for people to submit at an early age to the yoke of his discipline: Let them sit alone in silence beneath the LORD’s demands. (Lamentations 3:20-28 NLT)

We definitely have times of grief... An awful time of sorrow and loss the same as what Jeremiah has experienced. But perhaps, it is important to remember and learn from what Jeremiah said: God is faithful! We can "dare" to hope in the faithfulness of God! This dare will not disappoint us because He is true to His promises...

// In spite of all the awful situations that happen in life, we can still remember God's amazing faithfulness. I know that I can dare to trust in His faithfulness, and He is not going to forget about His promises for He is faithful.. That His nature. I can still hope in the faithfulness of the Lord. It overrules anything that I am feeling or believing.

// Lord, i pray that you would help me to open my heart in daring to hope in You and Your promises. I know that You are not through with me yet.. And Your promises still stand! I thank You for all that You have done. Help me to believe in Your promises and remove any ungodly belief of not hoping or waiting for the best things to come anymore. Your plans are great and I will hope again in You. In Jesus' name, amen.
