The Lord said to Gideon, “The men you have are too many for me to give them victory over the Midianites. They might think that they had won by themselves, and so give me no credit. (Judges 7:2 GNT)
Sometimes, The Lord will strip us off with things or people in order for us to get back to the basics of giving the glory to Him alone. God can give and God can take. It is His glory that deserves all the things that occur in our lives.
Whatever God has taken away from me or have given to me, it is all for the glory of His name. It is not mine to take credit for what things I do for Him but rather, for His glory alone. When The Lord strips me off of anything or anyone, it is because God is restructuring my life that I may bring glory to His name alone.
// Lord, please help me to remember this truth that it is only you that gets all the glory in everything in our lives. I thank you that you have your way in reordering our steps so due credit is brought back to you. I am grateful and I praise you in everything that you do in and through me. In Jesus' name, amen.
