Glory in Christ

Their minds, indeed, were closed; and to this very day their minds are covered with the same veil as they read the books of the old covenant. The veil is removed only when a person is joined to Christ.  Even today, whenever they read the Law of Moses, the veil still covers their minds.  But it can be removed, as the scripture says about Moses: “His veil was removed when he turned to the Lord.”    Now, “the Lord” in this passage is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom.  All of us, then, reflect the glory of the Lord with uncovered faces; and that same glory, coming from the Lord, who is the Spirit, transforms us into his likeness in an ever greater degree of glory. (2 Corinthians 3:14-18)

"The veil is removed only when a person is joined to Christ."
.. Tells us the powerful saving power of Christ that allows us to 'SEE' Him in a different light
.. When we get to be JOINED to Christ, we get to SEE
.. Not SEE in order to be JOINED with Christ
.. The 'joining' allows us to see - because it is in joining that we become ONE with Christ, thus having the Spirit of God
.. Having the Spirit of God means freedom - because "where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom."

What does this tell us about God?
.. He has provided a way for the 'veil' to be removed through Jesus Christ
.. He is a giving God - providing the way to SEE

What does this teach about us?
.. If we have Christ, we have 'uncovered faces'
.. In Christ, there is no shame
.. In Christ, we experience glory because of Him
.. In Christ, we are transformed into his likeness
.. In Christ, we grow in degrees of glory

// Because I have Christ, I must reflect His glory - the ever-changing, ever-increasing glory that comes from the Lord.  If there's anything in my life that is not ever-changing and ever-increasing in glory, then I may not be growing in the likeness of Christ.  Every part of my being must grow into the likeness of of Christ.  Daily, I need to deny myself and make a decision TO BE LIKE CHRIST and to be transformed like Him.

// Lord, I know I fail you daily - yet I know that through Christ, I am successfully moving forward towards becoming like You in an ever-increasing glory.  I pray that You please help me to grow more in You and to be more like YOU.  I ask that you forgive me for at times, moving backwards in my walk - especially in the area of moving past the past.  Help me to see people like you do and to see life as you do - hopeful and a future filled with brightness of Your glory.  I thank you for giving me an 'unveiled' face - to understand, at the least, some of your words that guides me through daily.  Thank you very much.  I appreciate and love you so much - help me to put my love into action.  In Jesus' name, amen.
