Human Cycle

Then they believed his promises and sang his praise. But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold. In the desert they gave in to their craving; in the wilderness they put God to the test. (Psalm 106:12-14 NIV)

A pretty common human cycle - get so hyped up in believing God's promises, eventually forget, and during desert times, giving in to their cravings without - waiting on God and worse, putting Him to the test.

What is the balance?
.. Continue to sing and believe God's promises
.. Remember what God has done
.. Wait on God
.. While in the desert, deny yourself when cravings arise
.. Do not put God to the test!

// I need to continually wait on God, remember His promises and know that He is never wavering in His word.  I need to trust that if God was able to be clear in my direction in the past, He will be clear in His direction now - if I just listen to Him and trust in Him.

// Lord, help me to take it easy.  Sometimes I am impatient in knowing what your will is in certain situations.  Help me to just go for what you want to do - and lead my decisions to always only please you.  In Jesus' name, amen.
