Doctrinally-speaking, this is very encouraging to know that though Adam brought death, Jesus brought life. What brought death was sin (of Adam). What brought life was death (of Christ). ONE MAN can do so much for the 'many'. Praise be to Jesus who has died to bring life to us all!
Our 'one' action can affect many. What is 'one' action that I need to do in order to affect many? What 'one' obedience I need to do in order to affect many? Jesus must have felt the pressure that the eternal lives of many depends on His obedience to the Father.
If my obedience can affect many, what is holding me back from obeying the Lord - especially in areas that I know I have a hard time doing? Fear? Logic? Distrust?
Lord, I ask for your empowerment to give me the boldness to do what is right - that fear will have no place in my life and that I will have the courage to do what is important to You as I know that my obedience will affect many. Please help me Lord. I need YOU every so greatly. In Jesus' name, amen.
