I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. (1 Timothy 2:1-3, 8-10 NIV)
I find these verses to be very timely with the fact that we just talked about dressing modestly recently with our family members. This in fact is an important statement and reminder/rebuke to women "who profess to worship God." If indeed I am a woman who professes to worship God, I ought to dress in a manner that will essentially please The Lord, not to draw attention to myself but rather point others to The Lord.
On the other hand, PRAY. Something I have been getting a couple times now... Is to pray for all people.
There are things I have no control over. Thus, i just need to pray - as we live peaceful and quiet lives. I have a been struggling much with some things yet O know i ought to just pray for things that i have no control over... Work on the things i can change on my own and be willing to offer prayer for everyone - especially those in authority.
Lord, please help me to just pray - especially for the things i definitely have no control over. Help me change my mindset and allow you to take control of situations. As one who worships you, help me to be modest in every outward appearance that I have - not being like the world, rather someone who reflects a worshipful attitude towards God. Lord please help me to let you be in control of everything in Jesus' name amen.
