Rest, God's Been Good

The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. (Psalm 116:6, 7 NIV)

This entire weekend, joy has been the overarching challenge.  Rest is part of it - relax and enjoy being a Christian.  Do not overburden yourself with what has been but enjoy what is going to be.  When I was low, The Lord did save me... And now it's time to rest and enjoy for The Lord has been good to me.  Though it has been a tough time the past couple of years, The Lord showed himself faithful and good.  I ought to rest in that. 

// Lord, today I will enjoy and rest.  Not burden myself with thoughts, wrong thinking and even reminders of the past. I will rest knowing that you have been good to me.  I ask that you please help me on a day to day basis that I will truly rest in you.  I WILL REST IN YOU. I WILL RETURN TO MY REST FOR YOU HAVE BEEN GOOD! In Jesus' name, amen.
