Tired of God?

He says, “My people, what did I do to you? How did I make you tired of me? Tell me. I brought you from the land of Egypt and freed you from slavery; I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to you. (Micah 6:3, 4 NCV)

Aren't we just like the Israelites? God does miraculous things to us, we marvel at the glorious work of God, then later we get tired of God. Shame on us! What makes people "get tired" of God? When we forget to remember what it was like.. When we're still in bondage, when we wanted to be freed from our personal prison of sin, when we wanted to get provided for, when we had no opportunity to serve, or when we were uncomfortable and wanted something comfortable... Then we eventually "get tired" of God. When we don't see the challenges anymore because of our conscious inability to remember what God had done for us. When things are cruising we are most likely going downhill. 

I ought to constantly remember what God has already done for me.  Many times i just forget that and not even have the opportunity to remember the goodness of God in my life.  I cruise a lot,  when I know i should be pressing on the gas more... I need to turn around again on a daily basis, not allow my life to just cruise downhill. I will remember what God has done for me; the miracles He has shown in my life, the convictions that He's placed in my heart and acting upon them.  I dont want anything or anyone to hinder me from experiencing the power of God in my life. I want more of God!!!!!

Lord, i desire more of you. Forgive me if I've been catering to my own desires and just forgetting what you've already done for me in the past.  Help me to remember what you've already done for me and just to keep challenging myself to do what you have called me to do. I will not allow anything to cut in my way to you. In Jesus' name, amen.
